The Company
Small, independent pub group with 3 properties within the Devon area, providing freshly prepared good food and real ales.
The Role
We are recruiting a head chef to manage the kitchen of the two pubs based in Exeter.
We are seeking a personable, competent and mature thinking Head Chef. You will be able to fit in with a small, young friendly and loyal team and possess excellent communication skills. Responsible for the menu planning, costings, suppliers, etc. for both sites, you will be more than comfortable with these skills and have previous experience in a similar environment.
Predominately based in one pub, you will run the day to day service (lunch time only) in one city centre pub and preparing food for the other site. You will also be responsible for menus, margins and standards in a much larger kitchen (with a turnover over £1m from 2 restaurants and bar food). Having a Supervisor on the other site, you will only need to work one or two evenings a week!
Head Chef - We are seeking to recruit ASAP and therefore priority will be given to those already established in the Exeter area or with a realistic possibility of moving here very soon.
Head Chef - This is a great position at the heart of a friendly experienced team. If you're used to working to a high standard with great quality ingredients, this could well be the role for you!!
This is a small working team and you must be very hands-on, have previous experience in similar establishments and work well under pressure. You must be adaptable and able to work within a very small team at various locations.
