The Client
Independently owned fine dining restaurant set within the Hampshire countryside. This Head Chef, formerly from Le Manoir Aux Quat Saisons, has the ambition of building this restaurant’s dinning experience up to 3 AA Rosettes. The restaurant is very spacious with a modern feel and overlooks vineyards, offering a unique experience in hosting weddings throughout the year. Food is produced form the finest ingredients and locally sourced, where possible.
The Role
As Pastry Chef you will be responsible for all bakery, confectionary, sweets and pastries within this quality kitchen operation. You will have previous experience as a Pastry Chef at 2 AA Rosette level within a restaurant or hotel and be aiming for 3 AA Rosettes in the near future. This Pastry Chef role also requires an amount of banqueting experience for the regular and intimate weddings. As Pastry Chef within this brigade of 5, you will support the team, create innovative dishes and assist with other sections.
What we are looking for
Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Previous experience as Pastry Chef within a Rosette award winning restaurant or hotel
Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail
Organised and hands-on to ensure optimal service to customers and staff
Excellent working references / recommendations from previous employers
Someone with a can do attitude with a flexible approach to work
Producing quality cuisine under pressure
