Our client is a market leader in its field. With a clear vision to offer a unique and outstanding experience for its customers, this stunning restaurant in a retail environment is a destination in its own right and operates a fully fresh food kitchen, all products are made in house using only the finest of locally sourced produce which change with the seasons.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to work in this high volume and high quality establishment. The role requires an experienced individual who appreciate the importance of quality produce!
A passion for working with fresh and locally sourced ingredients is essential. As the Sous Chef you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef to produce food of the highest standard for the restaurant and retail outlet, throughout the day. The role of Sous Chef will also involve the training and development of the team and their skills.
The ideal Sous Chef will be able to demonstrate a stable, quality background in professional kitchens and will be a strong leader and communicator.
Shifts are daytime based, which means that a stable work life balance is maintained.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in professional kitchens is required by all applicants.
- Multi-kitchen experience is desirable
- A knowledge and passion for fresh ingredients and seasonal dishes.
- The ability to control stock, GP’s, costs, budgets and wastage.
- An energetic personality
- Excellent people, organisation and communication skills.
