Circa £23,000 - £25,000 per annum

The Company

Our client operates a rural, award-winning Hotel set within 10 acres of Hertfordshire countryside. The site has a fantastic turnover of weddings and conferences along with a busy multi-rosette restaurant. The site is also going through expansion to increase the offering and to keep our client at the top of the rural country hotels. This is a property where all ideas are actioned and all the kitchen kit is of the highest standard.

The role

We are looking to recruit an experienced Pastry Chef to lead the Pastry production within this large friendly kitchen brigade. The role will include consistently producing Pastry items for all the outlets to a high standard and the ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of pastry experience behind them. This role will suit a very strong Pastry Junior Sous Chef looking for their first Pastry Chef role. Successful applicants would ideally have knowledge of rosette kitchens but not a necessity and experience working multiple large and small functions. The successful candidate will have a say in all menus and be given the opportunity to showcase their passion through the dishes they produce.

Due to the remote location, candidates are required to have their own transport.

Successful individuals will be able to demonstrate the following:

· Experience in fine dining professional kitchens is desirable.

· Previous Pastry experience with in a Hotel operation is required.

· Excellent organisation, and communication skills.

· A passion for food and its presentation, service, and quality.

· Career minded individuals wishing to excel.

· Individuals who are keen to learn and progress with in their career.
