Assistant Manager required for traditional town-house pub, serving local real ale and up-scale Welsh food.

Set in a classic Victorian town-house, the venue offers a range of quality Welsh real ales from a local brewery and prides itself on serving classic pub dishes to a high spec.
Circa £20,000 based on a 45 hour week, with paid overtime

As the Assistant Manager you will be assisting the General Manager with the commercial success of this venue. You will help oversee the running of all aspects of the business, including front-of-house work, staff recruitment, accounting, stock control and additional duties such as marketing and advertising to ensure sales targets are met.
Being an Assistant Manager requires strong management, commercial and practical skills. An Assistant Manager must ensure the pub is profitable, pleasant and safe and that it is run in accordance with the law and ethical guidelines. You will be responsible for a team of front-of-house staff, who will look to you for training, guidance and motivation; along with ensuring excellent customer service is maintained throughout service.
- 2 years experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager, preferably within a pub environment
- Previous experience managing a team of employees within the Hospitality Industry
- Knowledge of local Welsh produce, dishes and ales is an advantage
- Reliable and flexible to suit business needs
- A passion and love for the pub industry
