Job Description

Our Client has an exciting new opportunity at their new care home. This multi site operator is opening a new home and need a Head Cook to lead the kitchen team. There is room for 29 residents and 10 staff per day, you will be responsible for all HACCP, COSHH, ordering and staff rota's. You will be required to prepare and cook a healthy and nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner on a 4 weekly menu. You will be a qualified chef with relevant experience in a care home or healthcare setting. Level 3 food hygeine qualification is highly desirable but the job offer will be made on evidence of booking the course if not. As you will be catering for vunerable guests, you will need to have a sound knowledge of all health and safety and food safety issues, and as this is a new unit, some setting up of systems will be required. You will work to a budget and knowledge of costings is a distinct advantage. The hours of work are 09:00 - 18:00, 5/7 and the hours will be contracted at 45 per week, so this is a fantastic opportunity to gain a good work/life balance.
