Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Head Chef for a well established client of ours. In a Countryside pub near Henley-on-Thames. 

Following strong levels of trade, they are now planning for the next phase of the project which will include a second kitchen and additional dining and events spaces.

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:


  • Have a passion for high quality fresh food

  • Be able to maintain high standards whilst running a busy service

  • Be flexible, hard-working and customer driven, with an understanding and love of great food

  • Possess high standards and show an attention to detail

  • Have great communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

  • Have strong leadership qualities and proven experience of building and developing an effective team.

A few key responsibilities of the role include;


  • Maintaining quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the food presented

  • Having total control over the stock levels, ordering process and cleanliness of the kitchen

  • Being responsible for training and development of your team to ensure everyone is utilised to the best of their potential

  • Understanding and complying with food hygiene regulations.

  • A salary of £38k-£44k p/a

  • Generous Tronc currently averaging at £15k+ PA, will all service charge generated paid out to the team members
