The Package
£18,000-£21,000, plus share of the tips and a competitive bonus scheme.

Busy fresh food gastro pub venue situated on the outskirts of Brighton, producing high volume and good quality meals
The Role
As sous chef you will be tasked with ensuring a smooth running of the kitchen alongside the head chef and running the kitchen in their absence.
This is a small working team and you must be very hands-on, have previous experience in similar establishments and work well under pressure. The ideal candidate would be somebody who loves to work with fresh produce, enjoys working with a small team and who strives under pressure.
What We Are Looking For
Successful individuals will preferably possess / be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Ability to maintain the highest standards at all times and have a keen eye for detail.
  • Assist the head chef in meeting and exceeding company food GP with roles such as ordering, wastage control, invoice processing, keeping within budgets, dishes plated to specification and stock rotation
  • Support the head chef to train and develop team in order to exceed customer expectations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ensure all dishes are to company specification and delivered in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic and that all health and safety protocol is adhered to fully
  • Own transport is desirable to due location of venue
