Job Description

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Chef to take on a key role within their kitchen team at this multi-faceted Hotel in Bristol. As Junior Sous Chef you are a vital part of our brigade and will support the Sous & Head Chef, serving delicious food in a well-equipped kitchen with a large established team. The role suits an experienced CDP looking for the next step to Junior Sous Chef, with a view of developing your skills under the guidance of their talented Head Chef.

Junior Sous Chef overview…

• Support the Senior Sous Chef in line with the Head Chef’s direction


• Produce a high standard of food from scratch for all of the menus


• Manage a section of the kitchen cooking from fresh ingredients


• Eliminate wasteful or unprofitable practices


• Ensuring food safety standards are adhered to


• Helping with the ordering and storage of food supplies

The ideal Junior Sous Chef candidate…

You will have experience of working with fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch. You will have the ability to follow spec, but a flair for cooking and menu development/innovation is essential. If you are a team player who is committed to achieving the very best, this could be the role for you. You will enjoy sharing your knowledge with junior members of a team but will also look to those around you to grow your own skills. It's a great opportunity for someone with a natural drive for excellence who is seeking advancement in their career.

On offer for the right candidate…

• Salary range from £28,000 to £30,000 per annum


• 28 days holiday, rising to 33 days after 5 years
