The Company

Our client operates a beautiful hotel located in a small village near Reading. Set beside the River Thames and only minutes from Reading this hotel can cater for any needs. The hotel offers 20 modern, stylish rooms, wedding and conference facilities and a stunning restaurant. The restaurant offers fresh, seasonal food cooked to the highest level, using local ingredients where possible. Already boasting one, the kitchen team are keen to chase that second rosette.

The role

We are looking to employ an experienced chef to take over Sous Chef responsibilities and assist our Head Chef. Shifts would consist of splits and straights, working five days out of seven. This would suit an experienced Junior Sous or Sous Chef looking for a new challenge. Responsibilities would involve assisting with the running of the kitchen. An enthusiasm for fresh seasonal ingredients is essential. Due to the rural location your own transport is a must.

What We Are Looking For

· Successful individuals will be able to demonstrate the following:

· Previous experience at Senior Chef de Partie level or higher.

· Experience working with fresh seasonal produce.

· Excellent people, man-management, organisation, and communication skills.

· A passion for quality food and ensuring a consistent guest experience.
