Job Description
We're on the lookout for a Reception Supervisor to join this fantastic team at an award winning hotel in the Cotswolds. You'll be the cornerstone of this guest experience, leading a dedicated front office team while maintaining the highest standards of service excellence. You'll ensure seamless check-ins, departures, and guest interactions while mentoring and developing your team.
An excellent range of benefits on offer include;
- Salary: £13.50 per hour (plus up to around £2,500 gratuities per year) approximate earnings of £30,580
- 30 days holiday per year (rising to 35 after 5 years)
- 40 hour per week contract
- Working 8 hour shifts plus 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break
- This will be 5 days of the week and will usually include weekends.

The Reception Supervisor will be responsible for helping to oversee the smooth running of the Hotel’s reception, meeting and greeting guests, ensuring they have a high quality, memorable experience with our reception hosts from start to finish. You’ll also ensure that the day to day running of the department is seamless, ensuring an impeccably organised “behind the scenes” function to support our award winning hotel.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within luxury hospitality
Great at looking after a team, able to command respect and provide supportive and constructive supervision to the team
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a team of reception professionals
- Oversee daily operations of the front desk, including scheduling and task delegation
- Maintain exceptional guest service standards and handle VIP arrivals
- Manage guest queries and feedback with a solution-focused approach
- Handle reservations and ensure accurate billing procedures
- Train and develop team members to achieve service excellence
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
