The Package

Sous Chef - £23,000-£26,000 – depending on experience

The Company

Our client operates a farm shop and café situated at the hub of a well-known estate in West Sussex . Offers simple but delicious meals using the finest ingredients from home grown produce or locally sourced. The café serves outstanding food, made from scratch. The meat is butchered on-site by the in house butcher, and the team make their own sausages, cakes and puddings, using ingredients from the farm where possible.

The Role

We are looking for a talented Sous chef . The candidate needs to be passionate about food and cooking as well as being driven to learn and work with the best ingredients in this fantastic café. The café does not open in the evenings and there are no spilt shifts; a rare opportunity for a chef looking to work more sociable hours!

What we are looking for

Successful individuals will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Strong background in a similar role

- Ability to give directions and lead the kitchen

-Experience in using fresh seasonal produce, and planning a menu that can be altered in line with locally sourced goods

- A real passion for fine ingredients

-Excellent organisation and communication skills.

-  Your own transport
