Job Description
We are currently hiring for a client of ours, which is a prestigious wedding and events venue on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. They are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join it's well established kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and driven chef to work within a high quality, fresh-food environment delivering exceptional modern British cuisine for weddings and events.
The successful Sous Chef will be calm under pressure, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining the highest culinary standards while working alongside a professional and supportive team.
Sous Chef essential requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar Sous Chef position
- Experience catering for 100+ covers using fresh ingredients
- Strong background in quality food-led establishments
- Strong kitchen management and communication skills
- Own transport essential due to location

Key responsibilities
- Maintaining consistently high standards of food preparation and service
- Following allergen procedures and kitchen management systems (training provided)
- Supporting the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations and team management
- Daily supplier ordering and stock management
- Reporting to the Head Chef and General Manager
- Managing kitchen systems and responding to operational emails
- Using digital food management systems (full training provided)
