This independent, laid back restaurant has an exciting new opportunity for a Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef to complement their enthusiastic and dynamic team. This is a fairly small restaurant, who's ethos is on great quality food, with real ingredients, served in a great atmosphere. Fine dining experience is not essential for this position. The restaurant has a great reputation in the local area and has become well established.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced chef who is alread qualified with a food hygeine certificate, however newly qualified candidates with drive and ambition and a great attitude are more than welcome to apply, as are those who are currently working in kitchens but haven't had any formal training.
Duties would involve the preparation, cooking and plating of a range of dishes, within a team to a high standard and consistency. Experience of a range of cooking techniques and using local and seasonal ingredients is highly desirable.
We are looking for someone who wants to work long term and really develop their skills in this unique operation. Organised and hands on to provide a great service to the diners, and a great attitude with a desire to learn and improve their skills. Due to the location of the restaurant it would be advantageous if you had your own transport.
