Large pub company with over 250 sites, both managed and franchised.

The Role

We are seeking a service focussed, hands-on, food-led pub manager or management couple to run this seasonal venue on the coast in west Wales .  This remote venue is a gastro pub style with boutique bedrooms, extremely popular with summer tourists and high volume sales during peak season.

This pub management opportunity is a f ood led business so a strong service ethic is a must.  The successful bar manager / management couple must drive local led activities in winter – food theme evenings etc, charity events lifeboat etc.  You must have an understanding of seasonal business and complexities that involves – therefore must be fairly self sufficient.

Standard managed responsibilities including achievement of P+L , stock and cash management, achievement of food margin.  This is a managed house and so you must be used to working with nominated suppliers and using food specs – although food is fresh cooked where possible, and uses local produce where possible.

Live-in accommodation is available if required although own transport is a must due to remote location and local amenities.

Successful individuals will preferably possess / be able to demonstrate the following:

• Ability to maintain the highest standards at all times and a keen eye for detail.
• Creative thinking - must drive local led activities in off season.
• Organised and hands-on to ensure optimal service to customers and staff.
• Great team player and motivator with the passion to take autonomy for the kitchen.
• Excellent working references / recommendations from previous employers.
