Senior Catering Operations Manager, Cardiff
The Package
Up to £29K per annum (pro rata)
Maternity Cover 6-9 months

The Role
The purpose of this catering Operations Manager role is to take full responsibility of all catering and bar operations, including public facilities, staff restaurants and catering for private hire functions.
Operations Manager duties involve agreeing and setting budgets, dealing with personnel and client enquiries, maintaining quality standards and procedures, sales and marketing, stock control and ordering while monitoring purchasing costs and the overall management of bookings, staffing rotas, promoting the business and leading by example.
As operations manager you will also be responsible for managing payroll and monitoring spend levels, staff recruitment and training, maintaining full financial and administrative records and quality control, while ensuring excellent standards of health, safety & hygiene at all times.
What We Are Looking For
Successful individuals will preferably possess / be able to demonstrate the following:
- Good financial management skills and business/commercial acumen (preferably with experience of EPOS management)
- Passionate about good food and customer service
- Excellent people skills and the ability to lead, develop and manage teams
- Personal License Holder preferred
- Operational experience in retail and licensed bars / events / contract catering environment
- Excellent working references / recommendations from previous employers.
