Market leading independent contract catering company.

The Role

The Operations Manager oversees allocated catering locations to the quality standards of service and finance agreed between the client and company within both legal and company framework and maximising the company income by applying good commercial principles. The Operations Manager is directly responsible to the Company Directors and is reported to by the Area and Catering Managers.

Main Objectives:

· To manage catering units in line with the high quality company standards.

· To set and review budget monitoring on a weekly / monthly basis.

· To fully realise the potential of all direct reports.

· To ensure that all legal and mandatory requirements are met within each unit and comply with company policies.

· To build good relationships and communications both verbal and written with all client contacts and keep records.

· To maximise the skills, expertise, experience etc by sharing operational strengths and weaknesses.

What We Are Looking For

Successful Operations Manager candidates will preferably possess / be able to demonstrate the following:

• Previous experience in a similar Operations Manager position preferably with multi site responsibilities, ideally for 3 years or more.

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City and Guilds 7601/2 along with Food Safety level 2/3

• HNC in Catering to support the company’s culture of ‘Hands on’ leadership.

• Food Safety, HACCP and Health and Safety knowledge.

• Organised and hands-on to ensure optimal service to clients and customers.

• The ability to recruit, lead and develop a highly motivated team.

• A strong knowledge of business and a sound financial and commercial acumen.

• Excellent working references / recommendations from previous employers.
